Critical Infrastructure/Key Resources Planning

Understanding your threats and risks is fundamental to creating an effective plan, and it’s also what GP does best.

Both our physical security expertise and our immersion in the latest homeland security issues, make us highly skilled in assessing vulnerabilities to your critical assets and developing or improving plans to mitigate the effects of threats to your physical, environmental, or logistical resources. We also bring extensive industry experience, lessons learned, and a deep understanding of the National Infrastructure Protection Plan (NIPP) to the table to deliver a comprehensive, all-hazards plan that is customized to your unique needs.

Count on a thorough planning methodology.

GP follows a systematic approach to identify the threats, vulnerabilities, and risks to your critical infrastructures and key resources. Our solutions are based on both the criticality, accessibility, recoverability, vulnerability, effect, recognizability (CARVER) and Homeland Security’s Comprehensive Assessment Model (HLS-CAM) vulnerability assessment programs. So we place the safety and security of your facility at top priority in everything we do.

Protect key resources with a comprehensive solution.

Our process includes ensuring all applicable documents are thoroughly reviewed prior to ever stepping foot into your facility. This review includes past inspections and reports from emergency events at your facility and the surrounding area. Once we arrive at your facility, we conduct numerous walk-throughs and conduct interviews with staff from each area of the facility. In addition, we conduct interviews with responding agencies that support your facility in the event of an emergency. GP then compiles your data, delivers your assessment report, and assists in writing your corrective action plan. We then help you develop required training and exercises necessary to implement the plan.

Trust our experience in critical infrastructure planning.

Some assessments that GP has conducted include the following:

  • Evaluated and upgraded the US Army Pine Bluff Arsenal, Arkansas, Directorate of Law Enforcement Security and Safety Support plans. Followed plan revisions with exercises.
  • Identified critical state infrastructure sites, facilities, and systems for the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency.
